The Land
The land was never simply a backdrop. Set beneath the green slopes of the Tsitsikamma Mountains, where forest meets South Africa’s dramatic southern coastline, Tamodi was conceived as a refuge shaped by ocean air and the valley’s ever-changing light.
The Texture
Honesty over perfection. Natural tones and organic textures flow throughout, while locally sourced stone, wood and clay shape interiors that feel authentic and deeply connected to their surroundings.
The Craft
Art and craft are more than decoration; they are integral to the Tamodi experience. Bespoke furniture, hand-loomed rugs and artisanal ceramics are created in collaboration with independent South African makers, with many pieces crafted exclusively for the estate.
